Tri-tip Marinade II Recipe
This is another great tri-tip marinade. I like a wet marinade a little better than a dry rub. This results in great flavor and very tender meat.
I usually double the recipe.

Ingredients Convert Measures
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup mirin (not necesary if you don't have it but the sauce is better with it)
- Freshly grated ginger or ginger powder
- Optional - 2 tbsp cornstarch to thicken sauce (put towards the end) I make it without cornstarch.
Directions
- Boil until sauce has thickened. Let cool and mix a 2-to-1 ratio of teriyaki sauce and orange juice. Marinate tri-tip for at least 2 hours - the longer the better.
