Tuna Cream Cheese Sandwiches Recipe

Don't knock it until you try it! This came from Marcia Adams (who used to have a cooking show on PBS). Marcia passed away in 2011. She, too, loved Amish cooking. She did this on one of her shows, and in my search for something different, I tried it. It's really pretty good.

Ingredients

  • 1 8 ounce package light cream cheese (do not use non-fat)
  • 2 T bottled chili sauce or catsup
  • 2 T chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 T finely minced onion
  • 1 T finely minced fresh dill
  • 1/2 t hot sauce
  • 2 7 ounce cans water-packed tuna, drained

Directions

  1. Combine everything except the tuna in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until well blended.
  2. Stir in the tuna, cover and refrigerate.
  3. Serve on toasted bread.
