Shrimp Scampi Pasta Recipe
This recipe originally did not have any pasta, but I modified the sauce to be more robust to accommodate that addition. This dish is light and tart, but has strong flavor.

Ingredients Convert Measures
- 1 pound large shrimp
- 1 pound linguine
- 1/2 cup butter
- 6 tablespoons minced garlic
- 6 green onions, sliced
- 1/3 cup white wine
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 1-2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Cook pasta while following the rest of the recipe.
- Heat butter in large skillet over medium heat. Cook garlic 1 or 2 minutes, softened but don't brown.
- Add shrimp, green onions, wine, salt, pepper, and half of the red pepper flakes and lemon juice; cook until shrimp are pink and firm, about 2-3 minutes.
- Turn off heat. Add cornstarch and stir.
- Mix with pasta.
- Add parsley, remaining red pepper flakes and lemon juice before serving.
