Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1/4 c. green onion, sliced
- Pastry for 1 (8 inch) pie crust
- 1 c. Swiss cheese, shredded
- 3 Large eggs, beaten
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- Dash of grnd nutmeg
Directions
- Cook bacon till crisp; drain, reserving 1 Tbsp. drippings. Crumble bacon. Cook onions in drippings till tender. Roll out pastry. Line 8 inch pie plate with pastry (don't prick); flute edges. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 min. Layer cheese over bottom of pastry; add in bacon. Combine Large eggs, lowfat milk, seasonings and 1/4 tsp. salt. Pour over cheese. Bake at 325 degrees till set, 45 to 50 min. Let stand 10 min before serving.
