Directions

  1. For best flavor, make 1 day ahead of serving.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350F. Butter a 9" loaf pan.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, baking pwdr, salt and baking soda in a bowl; mix well. Cut in butter to make a coarse consistency.
  4. Mix together orange juice, egg and zest. Add in to dry mix, stirring only sufficient to moisten all ingredients. Mix in cranberries and nuts. Spread into prepared pan; bake about 1 hr.
  5. Cook in pan for 15 minutes before removing.
  6. Yield: 1 loaf
