Texas Sugar Cookies Recipe

• 1 c. sugar
• 1 c. powdered sugar
• 1 c. soft butter
• 1 c. shortening
• 1 teaspoon toffee extract or possibly vanilla if you cannot find toffee
• 2 Large eggs
• 3 1/2 c. flour
• 1 c. whole wheat flour (if you cannot fine any, use plain old flour)
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 2 c. minced pecans
• 1 pkg. bits o brickle chips (so far, not available in Hope)
