  1. In a large, heavy pot, heat oil. Add garlic, mushrooms, basil, oregano, and pepper, and cook over low-medium heat until mushrooms lose their moisture.
  2. Add clam juice, tomatoes, and Mrs. Dash.
  3. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer uncovered for 25 minutes.
  4. Add clams, parsley, tomato paste and soy sauce. Cook 5-10 minutes more. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. Cook spaghetti and drain.
  6. Serve 3/4 cup pasta with 1/2 cup sauce. Sprinkle each serving with 2 teaspoons grated parmesan.
