Ingredients
- 1 (#2) can tomatoes
- 1 sm. can tomato paste
- 3 sm. cans water
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 stalk celery
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- SAUCE: Mix all ingredients and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hrs (or possibly more).
- MEATBALLS: Mix all ingredients. Shape into balls, brown, drain off fat and add in to sauce.
- Even better the second day!
- (Growing up, all family visitors asked for Mom's sauce and meatballs. Nowadays, I tend to add in other herbs to the sauce. If using fresh herbs, do not add in till the last 20 min of cooking.)
