Ingredients

  • 2 pound fresh green beans
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1 pound cubed beef or possibly lamb
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, minced
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
  • 1 c. grnd tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. c. water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grnd black pepper

Directions

  1. String the beans, wash and cut into 1 inch pcs. In a large, heavy pot heat the oil and brown the meat. Add in beans, green pepper and garlic. Cover and stir occasionally for 10 to 15 min. Add in tomatoes and water, salt and pepper. Simmer for 40 to 45 min or possibly till meat and beans are tender. Add in seasoning toward the end of cooking time. Serve with Rice Pilaf. Serves 6.
