• 1 c. Shortening
• 4 x Large eggs
• 1 1/2 tsp Salt

• 2 tsp Soda

• 1 lrg Package dates, minced
• 1 1/2 c. Sugar
• 1 1/4 c. Water
• 2 tsp Lemon juice
• 1 pch Salt
• 1 c. Nuts, minced
