Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour (self-rising)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 (16 ounce) can chocolate syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1/3 c. undiluted evaporated lowfat milk
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar together. Add in large eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in flour. Add in chocolate syrup and vanilla. Pour into 11 1/2 x 8 inch rectangular pan. Bake 30 min in 350 degree oven.Optional: Add in 1 cup minced pecans.
- Leave cake in pan and pour icing over it while it is still warm.
- Place sugar, lowfat milk, and butter in saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 additional minute. Remove from heat and add in chocolate morsels. Stir till dissolved. Pour over cake.
