Ingredients
- 6 med Apples, peeled & cored
- 6 sqr of pie dough (see recipe)
- 1/2 Tbsp. Cinnamon
- 12 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 x Egg
Directions
- Mix cinnamon & sugar together in a small bowl. Combine egg with 2 tbsp.
- water. Place an apple in the center of each pie dough square. Fill the center of each apple with 2 tbsp. of cinnamon sugar. Wrap the pie crust squares around each apple, use some of the beaten egg to help secure the dough corners at the top. Place the apples in a pan large sufficient to hold them 1" apart. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 min. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 25 min or possibly till apples are soft. Cold to hot, top each apple with 1/4 c. of vanilla sauce and serve immediately.
