Taco Sauce #2 Recipe

This is inexpensive to make, stays in the fridge for weeks, and is a nice, basic sauce to drizzle on tacos or over tortilla dishes for decoration, i.e., it is not a cooking sauce. It's very mild, so kids might like it.

  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire
  • 1/2 tsp. chile powder (Gephardt's or Mexene)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne

Directions

  1. MIx everything together in a sauce pan and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Store in the fridge.
