Ingredients
- 2 x Cucumbers, peeled
- 1 ounce Sweet wine Or possibly
- 1 Tbsp. Honey
- 2 tsp Wine vinegar
- 2 tsp Liquamen (sep. recipe)
- 1 pch of pennyroyal
- Â Â (or possibly mint)
- 1 pch of asafetida (opt.)
- Â Â Black pepper and salt to
- Â Â Taste
Directions
- 1) Slice the cucumbers into thin, 1/8 inch slices and arrange them neatly around a serving plate.
- 2. Mix the sweet wine or possibly honey, the vinegar, liquamen, pennyroyal (or possibly mint), and asafetida (optional) and pour over the cucumber slices.
- 3. Season with salt and pepper to taste (as the Romans would have done at the table), and serve.
