Ingredients

1-1/2 lbs. round steak, cut 1/2 inch thick
1 env. brown gravy mix
2 c. water
1 teaspoon instant chopped onion
2 teaspoon vinegar
2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
Warm buttered egg noodles

Directions

Cut steak into 1 inch squares. Brown steak on all sides in warm fat in large skillet. Remove steak from skillet. Add in gravy mix, and water to skillet. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients except noodles. Return steak to skillet, cover. Simmer for 1 hour and 30 min stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve steak over warm buttered noodles. Yield: 5 to 6 servings.
