Ingredients

  • 6 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 pound butter
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 packages. dry yeast, softened in 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 2 c. scalded lowfat milk, cooled to lukewarm
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 lbs. grnd walnuts
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Work butter into flour. Make well in flour, adding rest of ingredients, yeast last. Add in more flour if necessary and knead. Let rise till double. Prepare filling.
  2. Heat butter over low heat, then add in the lowfat milk. Heat together then add in sugar, stirring constantly. Add in walnuts and mix well. Mix in stiffly beaten egg whites. Remove from heat. Roll dough as thinly as possible, then stretch with hand to make thinner. Spread filling over stretched dough. Roll dough into round shape. Place in well greased pan and let rise till double. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour or possibly till crust is golden. Makes one very large or possibly two medium size Poticas.

    You are missing critical ingredients.. This receipe does not break out excatly what you are to be doing.. with the dough..lol... and the filling well like I said you are missing critical ingredients..
