Pecan Pie Blue Ribbon Pies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 x unbaked 9" pie shell
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 4 Tbsp. butter or possibly oleo room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp butternut flavoring optional
  • 1 c. pecans minced (or possibly more)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat Large eggs slightly in a 2 qt bowl, fold in sugar, then corn syrup, butter or possibly oleo, vanilla & butternut flavoring & pecans. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 35 to 40 min or possibly till filling is slightly hard. Center of pie may look soft when pie is gently shaken but it will become hard when cold
  3. Butternut flavoring can be purchased through cake decorating stores
