Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 sm box lemon jello
- 4 x Large eggs
- 3/4 c. oil
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 2 c. powdered sugar juice of 2 large lemons
Directions
- Beat all ingredients for 5 min. Bake in a 9x13" pan at 350i for 35-40 min. While still warm, pierce with fork. Glaze with 2 c. powdered sugar, combined with the juice of 2 large lemons.
- NOTE: this is one of the few things my mom ever learned to make (my dad taught me how to cook). I remember her making it in an angel food cake pan. If you do which you'll need to increase the cooking time.
- My husband says this isn't a better-than-sex-cake but it certainly rates as a better-than-heavy-petting-cake.
- Try this in lime. Warning it is a really, really GREEN cake. For Christmas decorate the top with maraschino cherries. Even though it is very green, it is very, very good.
