Ingredients
- 2 med. green bell peppers
- 1/3 pound grnd beef
- 1 teaspoon chopped onion
- 1/3 c. tomato paste
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 4 drops warm pepper sauce
- Dash of pepper
- 1/4 c. instant rice
- 2 ounce. shredded cheddar cheese
- Cheese for garnish
Directions
- Wash peppers, remove tops, seeds and membranes. Parboil in salted boiling water 5-6 min; drain. Brown beef with onion in skillet. Drain off fat. Stir in tomato paste, water, salt, Worcestershire sauce, chili pwdr, pepper sauce and pepper; cover and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in rice and cheese. Let stand, covered, for 5 min. Divide mix between peppers, upright in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
