Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. rolled oats
- 1/4 c. finely minced nuts
Directions
- Cream shortening and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir together flour, salt, baking soda, oats and nuts. Add in to creamed mix. Blend. Shape dough into 2 inch rolls, like Pillsbury cookie dough at the grocery store, on waxed paper. Roll up and twist ends. Refrigeratetill hard, or possibly freeze for later use. When ready to bake, cut into 3/4 inch slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 min.
