Ingredients
- 2/3 c. Butter
- 1/2 tsp Almond extract
- 2/3 c. Sugar
- 2 c. Cake flour, sifted
- 1/2 c. Confectioners' sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 pch Salt
- 3 x Large eggs, separated
- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Almonds to garnish
Directions
- Cream butter and two sugars till light and fluffy. Add in egg yolks separately, beating well after each addition. Fold in extracts. Mix together flour, baking pwdr and salt. Add in flour mix and lowfat milk alternately to creamed mix. Mix in stiffly beaten egg whites. After greasing and flouring 9- c. Mini-Bundt pan, embed an almond in each crease of the pan.
- Pour batter into pan and bake at 350 degrees, for 45 minutes.
