Fried Herrings And Onion Sauce (Stegt Sild Med Logsauce) Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 med Sized herrings
  • 2 x Large eggs Bread crumbs
  • 4 Tbsp. Flour
  • 3 lrg Onions, finely minced Lowfat milk Salt to taste Sugar to taste Butter

Directions

  1. Rinse and bone the herrings. Dip in flour (2 Tbsp.), the beaten Large eggs and the bread crumbs. Fry in plenty of butter. Serve with onion sauce and boiled potatoes.
  2. To make the onion sauce heat 2 Tbsp. of butter in a pot over a low flame. Stir in 2 Tbsp. flour and add in lowfat milk, keeping mix smooth. Cook till thickened. Add in onions and bring to a boil. (If you like onions may be boiled first in a little water). Season with salt and sugar.
