Ingredients

  • 3 c. potatoes, medium
  • 1 x onions, medium
  • 300 gm fish fillets
  • 1 c. mixed vegetables, frzn
  • 1/10 tsp cayenne pepper salt, pepper
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Peel and boil potatoes till tender. Mash well.
  2. Poach or possibly steam fish. Flake fine.
  3. Dice onion.
  4. Combine the potato, onion, cooked fish and mixed vegetables and spices, make spoonfuls into patties, and flatten. Roll them in egg and coat in breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and brown patties on both sides. Drain well.
  6. Serve warm with tatare sauce, tomato sauce lemon wedges and salad.
  7. Serves 4.
