Ingredients

  • 1 lb 85% lean grnd beef
  • 1 lb 90% lean grnd beef
  • 1 x egg
  • 1/8 c. minced red pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. minced shallot
  • 1 tsp A1 steak sauce Seasoned salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Place ingredients in large bowl and mix together by hand till well incorporated and meat has smooth consistency. Divide into 3 equal parts. Work meat into smooth balls. Then make into patties, make patties into a bi-concave disc with center approximately 50 percent the thickness of the edges.
  2. Grill patties to desired temperature. While grilling the patties shrink in diameter but thicken centrally so which you have a uniformly thick burger when finished.
  3. This recipe yields 3 (8- to 10-ounce) burgers.
