Ingredients

  • 1 c. dry white beans cannelli or possibly white Navy
  • 1 c. dry pinto beans
  • 1 can whole tomatoes (28 ounce.) cut up
  • 1 med onion diced
  • 2 Tbsp. beef bouillon pwdr (like Oxo)
  • 2 x cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 pkt frzn green beans (9 ounce.)
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Soak the beans overnight then drain and cover with 4 c. of fresh water. Bring to a boil for 15 min and then reduce the heat to simmer till they are just tender, about an hour. Drain the beans and rinse them with cool water.ECombine the beans, the tomatoes and their juice, the onion, bouillon pwdr, garlic, Italian seasoning andEpepper. Bring to a boilEthen reduce the heatEand simmer for 30 min. Serve with a slice of buttered Bagette floating in each bowl.
