Ingredients Convert Measures

  • 1 pkt Devil's food cake mix
  • 1 pkt chocolate instant
  •     Pudding
  • 1/2 c. Crisco or possibly Puritan oil
  • 1 1/4 c. Water
  • 4 x Large eggs

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Generously grease & flour pan. Blend all ingredients in large bowl; beat at medium speed for 2 min. Bake at 350. Cake is done when toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cold cakes 15-20 min in pan, then remove from pan & cold top side up. Frost when fully cooled. GLAZE: Heat 2/3 c. favorite frosting in small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, till thin. Pour glaze over cake.
  2. TO BAKE: 2 8" round pans 45-50 min 2 9" round pans 40-45 min 1 13" oblong pan 50-55 min
