Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Cummin seeds
  • 1 x Onion, cut in small pcs Garlic as much as you like, (the recipe asks two gloves)
  • 1 x Tomato, cut in small pcs Curry pwdr
  • 1 x Bouillon cube
  • 1 lb Potatoes, peeled and cut in cubes, (not too big, small cubes take less time to get done)
  • 1 x Warm pepper Salt, (optional) Black pepper
  • 1/2 lb Butter beans, cut in pcs from about a phalanx

Directions

  1. 1. Heat the pot, add in the cummin seeds, let them pop, add in and simmer the onion, add in the garlic after a few min
  2. 2. Add in currie pwdr, cut tomatoe and bouillon cube, simmer, stir, add in some water as necessary
  3. 3. Add in the patatoe cubes, simmer and stir a few min. Add in half a c. of water, stir one more time, add in the warm pepper and put a lid on the pot. Let simmer for about 10 min. Look one or possibly two times if the pataotoes need some more water. (In the end the patatoes should have taken nearly all the liquid)
  4. 4. Steam (or possibly cook) meanwhile the cut butter beans half done. (I prefer steaming: it takes less time and the vegetables keep more of its own taste)
  5. 5. If the patatoes are nearly done (after about 10 min if you have cut them small), add in the butter beans. Add in some more water if necessary. Let simmer another five min.
  6. 6. Taste and add in black pepper.
  7. 7. Cut the pepper in small pcs (with fork and knife) and take the seeds away
