Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a heavy bottomed saucepan. Mix well. Place over medium heat and stir constantly till thickened.
  2. Coconut: Add in coconut to pastry cream. Pour into a pre-baked 8" pie shell and chill till cold. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with toasted coconut.
  3. Banana: Slice 4 bananas into pastry cream. Pour into a prebaked pie shell and chill till cold. Top with whipped cream.
  4. Chocolate Cream: While pastry cream is still warm, stir in chocolate till smooth. Pour into baked pie shell and chill. Top with whipped cream and chocolate curls.
  5. Yield: 6 servings.
