- 1½ cups AP flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
- hefty pinch of kosher salt
- 12 T/3/4 cup (1½ sticks) unsalted cold butter, cubed

- Cake:
- 2½ cups (315 g) AP flour
- ½ cup cake flour
- 1½ t baking powder
- ½ t baking soda
- 1 t fine sea salt
- 1½ cups mini chocolate chips
- ½ lb/1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1¾ cups sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 T vanilla
- 1 cup full fat buttermilk
- For Finish:
- ¾ cup mini chocolate chips
