Ingredients: 3/4 c. Shortening; 1/2 c. Sugar; 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr; 1 x Egg; 2 tsp Vanilla; 1/2 tsp Almond extract; 1 3/4 c. Flour; 1/4 c. Brown sugar; 1/2 tsp Salt; 1/2 c. Almonds, minced (opt); 42 x Chocolate kisses(hersheys)

1/2 c. Sugar
1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
1 x Egg
2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 tsp Almond extract
1 3/4 c. Flour
1/4 c. Brown sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 c. Almonds, minced (opt)
42 x Chocolate kisses(hersheys)

Directions

Cream shortening,and sugars till fluffy. Add in Large eggs, extracts and beat well.
Add in flour, baking pwdr, salt,and nuts. Mix well.
From dough into 1 inchballs. Press each ball around a kiss so kiss is completely enclosed. Bake on UNGREASED cookie sheet 12 min. Don't OVERBAKE!!!!! Cold on rack.
Makes 3 1/2-4 dozen.
