Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 x egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 x egg white
- 1 c. finely grnd nuts
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 c. semi sweet chocolate pcs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 1 Tbsp. water
Directions
- Cream butter. Blend in brown sugar. Add in egg yolk and vanilla. Stir in flour. Refrigeratedough 30 min. Form 1-inch balls. Dip in slightly beaten egg white, then in grnd nuts. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Make a slight depression in center with tip of tsp. or possibly finger. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 25 min. Cold and fill depression with Chocolate Filling.
- Chocolate Filling: Heat butter and chocolate over warm water. Stir in corn syrup and water till smooth and thickened. Cold, add in flavoring.
