  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Place the butter in the bowl of an electric mixer and beat till creamy. Add in the sugars and beat till light and fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla and beat well to combine. Sift together the dry ingredients and add in to the batter, mixing well. Remove bowl from mixer (be sure to scrape the beater) and stir in the nuts and chocolate chunks by hand.
  3. Drop by tsp. onto greased cookie sheets and bake 8 to 10 min till lightly browned. Cold 5 min on sheets then remove cookies with a spatula to racks to cold.
