Chocolate Christmas Trifle Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pkt Brownie mix, prepared as directed
  • 2 lrg Boxes instant chocolate pudding, prepared as directed
  • 1/2 c. Coffee liqueur
  • 12 ounce Cold Whip
  • 6 x Bars toffee

Directions

  1. Prepare the brownie mix as directed. Remove it from the oven and while it is still warm, pierce it with a fork several times. Pour the liqueur over the mix. While it is cooling make the pudding as directed. Take 1/3 of the prepared brownies and crumble into the bottom of Trifle (or possibly glass) bowl.
  2. Layer 1/3 of the pudding on top of the brownies, 1/3 of the Cold Whip on top of the pudding and layer 2 of the toffee bars, crumbled, on top of the cold whip. Repeat layering in this manner till you are done, ending with the last two toffe bars. Chill 24 hrs.
  3. NOTES : Tamra made this for a Thrid Thursday scrapbook night. I think it was the best desert I have ever had. I used Ghiridelli brownie mix from Costco. It was awesome and a big hit for Christmas.
