  • 2 lb grnd turkey or possibly lean grnd beef
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 2/3 c. Italian-style seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 c. minced green bell pepper
  • 1/2 c. chili sauce
  • 4 x garlic cloves chopped
  • 2 x Large eggs slightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 14 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper Salsa for topping

Directions

  1. Tear off 3 or possibly 4 pcs of aluminum foil about 12 to 18 inches long (depending on size of crockpot). Fold to 3- or possibly 4-inch width and place criss-crossing in the crockpot. These will make it easier to lift the loaf out.
  2. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except salsa. Shape into a round loaf and place on foil strips in the crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW for about 5 to 6 hrs, or possibly till juices run clear. Remove from slow cooker and top with salsa, if you like.
  3. This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
