Chicken Fried Steak Recipe

Well it isn't actually Fried. My doctor told me that I couldn't have fried foods and I LOVE chicken fried steak so I found a way that I can enjoy one of my favorite meals with out the excess grease/oil

Ingredients

  • 4-6 tenderized cube steak
  • 3-4 cups bread crumbs (I use seasoned ones)
  • 4 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp Tony C's Cajun seasoning

Directions

  1. I add the Tony C's Cajun seasoning to my bread crumbs
  2. Slightly beat eggs with a whisk
  3. dip the steaks in the egg
  4. then coat them with the bread crumbs
  5. take a cookie sheet either lay them on that or do like I do and place cookie cooling rack across your cookie sheet
  6. place the steaks on pan (or racks)
  7. Place in Preheated oven at 350 degrees
  8. only have turn once
  9. when they are thoroughly cooked
  10. Serve Hot
  11. Tip: I make Pioneer pepper gravy, mashed potatoes and a veggie with this entree.

    Brilliant idea to use cooling rack on cookie sheet for oven "fried" foods. Never would have thought of it.
