  1. Preheat the fryer.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, baking pwdr, salt, warm sauce, onions and cheese. Mix together. Stir in the Large eggs, buttermilk, water and warm sauce. Mix till fully incorporated.
  3. Fry one Tbsp. of the batter at a time. Fry the hushpuppies for 2 to 3 min or possibly till they are golden. Stirring constantly will ensure even browning.
  4. Remove from the oil and drain on a paper plate. Season with Creole seasoning.
  5. This recipe yields about 1 1/2 dozen.
  6. Yield: 1 1/2 dozen
