Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. Shortening
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 x Egg
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. Corn-meal
- 3/4 c. Prepared bran
- 1 c. Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 tsp Baking pwdr
Directions
- Cream shortening. Add in sugar and mix well. Add in well-beaten egg, lowfat milk, bran, and corn-meal. Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking pwdr and salt. Add in to first mix, stirring only till well blended. Pour into well-oiled pans. Bake in moderate oven (400x F) 20 min. 12 bran sticks. Betty Parkinson, Michigan Center, MI.
