%20%20The%20bananas%20and%20their%20mind-blasting%20(more%20extreme%20than%20mind-blowing)%20elixir%20are%20scooped/poured%20over%20the%20ice%20cream%20and%20then,%20for%20all%20intents%20and%20purposes,%20the%20party%20can%20begin!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20may%20not%20look%20like%20much,%20but%20let%20me%20assure%20you,%20it%20is!%20%20This%20infamous%20dessert%20has%20been%20served%20at%20Brennan's%20Restaurant%20in%20New%20Orleans%20since%201951,%20when%20it%20was%20created%20by%20Chef%20Paul%20for%20one%20of%20Brennan's%20frequent%20customers,%20Richard%20Foster.%20%20Foster%20was%20a%20member%20of%20the%20New%20Orleans%20Crime%20Commission...I'll%20let%20you%20make%20your%20own%20assumptions%20as%20to%20why%20a%20chef%20would%20name%20a%20dessert%20after%20a%20crime%20commissioner...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECombine%20the%20butter,%20sugar,%20and%20cinnamon%20in%20a%20flambe%20pan%20or%20skillet.%20%20Place%20the%20pan%20over%20low%20heat,%20on%20top%20of%20the%20stove%20and%20cook,%20stirring,%20until%20the%20sugar%20dissolves.%20%20Stir%20in%20the%20banana%20liqueur,%20then%20place%20the%20bananas%20in%20the%20pan.%20%20When%20the%20banana%20sections%20soften%20and%20begin%20to%20brown,%20remove%20pan%20from%20heat%20and%20carefully%20add%20the%20rum.%20%20Return%20pan%20to%20heat%20and%20continue%20to%20cook%20the%20sauce%20until%20the%20rum%20it%20hot,%20then%20tip%20the%20pan%20slightly%20to%20ignite%20the%20rum%20or%20use%20a%20flame%20stick%20over%20the%20top%20of%20the%20pan%20to%20ignite.%20%20When%20the%20flames%20subside,%20lift%20the%20bananas%20out%20of%20the%20pan%20and%20place%20four%20pieces%20over%20each%20portion%20of%20ice%20cream.%20%20Generously%20spoon%20warm%20sauce%20over%20the%20top%20of%20the%20ice%20cream%20and%20serve%20immediately.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
