Ingredients
- 5 c. Flour
- 2 1/2 c. Butter, softened at room temperature
- 1 c. Grnd almonds
- 1 c. Icing sugar
- 4 x Egg yolks
- 6 Tbsp. Arak, (or possibly Pastis or possibly Ouzo)
- 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350' Cream softened butter well with sugar & yolks.
- Add in Arak & cream well again. Sift the flour & baking pwdr into the mix. Knead into a hard dough. Add in nuts & knead again. Form into 3" crescents & place on an UNgreased baking sheet. Bake 20-25 min. Sprinkle with icing sugar while still warm.
