Apple And Cheese Grills Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 x Red dessert apples
  • 4 x Thick slices wholemeal bread
  • 150 gm Cheddar, Cheshire or possibly Emmental cheese, grated (5z)
  • 25 gm Butter, softened (1oz)
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 8 x Sage leaves, finely minced

Directions

  1. Preheat the grill to the highest setting.
  2. Cut the apples into quarters, core and slice finely.
  3. Toast the bread on one side under the grill.
  4. Butter the untoasted side of bread and arrange the apple slices on top then sprinkle with cheese and a healthy pinch of paprika.
  5. Grill for 2-3 min till the cheese melts and the apple cooks through.
  6. Sprinkle with sage before serving.
  7. NOTES : A quick and tasty snack.
