  1. Grandmother's chocolate shot cookie recipe.
  2. 1. Beat butter in large bowl of electric mixer at high speed till creamy, about 1 minute. Add in sugar and vanilla; beat till light and fluffy, about 2 min. Grandually beat in flour and baking soda till smooth. Stir in oats. Chill dough in mixer bowl 10 min for easier handling.
  3. 2. Remove dough from refrigerator. Divide dough into 2 to 3 equal pcs. Roll each piece into a log about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
  4. Pour sprinkles into pie plate; roll logs in sprinkles to coat proportionately.
  5. Wrap logs in plastic wrap and chill overnight.
  6. 3. Heat oven to 325'F. Cut dough into 1/4-inch slices. Bake on greased baking sheet till lightly browned and slightly hard to the touch, about 20 min. Remove to cooling rack.
