About me

I am a food enthusiast and love to cook. I've been cooking since I was about eight years old. I would invent recipes not in my "Easy Bake Oven". But on my mom's toaster oven. I never got in trouble or burned while cooking as a little girl. As an adult that's another story. I wanted to attend culinary school but I got injured at work (to much keyboarding) so I need surgery on both arms and hands but it doesn't stop me. I am currently interested in cooking gourmet "healthy" food. I am very friendly and love people. I guess that is another reason I love cooking is, because it brings people together. I love music, photography and travel. I'm also very interested in learning ethnic cuisine such as Indian, Mediterranean, Chinese and Japanese delights!

Cooking Influences

Bethenney Frankel from the Housewives of NYC has been my inspiration as of late! I never had a sweet tooth but lately! It's like lock up all you're sweets! So I want to learn how to make low fat, no guilt deserts.

I love watching Richard Bayless for his superb Mexican dishes. I love Mario Batali and Giada De Laurentis, Bobby Flay and Anthony Bourdain. Yen from the old show on KPBS "Yen can cook" was an inspiration as well!
