About me

Glad to be a part of this! I cook to my tastes, and to those of guests. My wife (Mary Gaffney - anyone know her?) likes just about everythign I make, so that's good!

I'm from Chicago, and grew up on comfort food and casseroles. I like cooking simple French and Italian, as they match my wine tastes. I collect (oh yes, and we drink) mostly European wine, and I typically choose the food to match my preferred wine of the night.

I'm really looking forward to the quick and easy section, as it's just too tough to find adequate time to prep and cook during the week.
