Ingredients
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 x egg yolks
- 3/4 c. maple sugar packed
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter pie shell baked
Directions
- Put lowfat milk in the top of a double boiler and when warm add in the beaten egg yolks to that has been added a little of the warm lowfat milk. Mix together the maple sugar and flour and add in gradually to the warm lowfat milk.
- Remove from heat and add in salt and butter. Cold. Pour into a baked pie crust and chill. Serve with whipped cream. Old cookbook "Out of Old Nova Scotia Kitchens"
