Traditional cookies of my country. It's my grandmother's recipe.
Ingredients
- 250 grams of butter (room temperature)
- 1.5 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons ammonia
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 / 4 cup orange juice
- chopped zest of one orange
- 1 kilo of flour
- 4 eggs (separate the yolks from the whites)
Directions
- Beat the butter with the sugar in a bowl for at least 5 minutes.
- Add the egg yolks and beat them for a while.
- Beat the egg whites until a thick meringue, which you add to the first bowl.
- Add all the ingredients (the flour at the end) until the dough is smooth and homogeneous. Make your cookies, giving them the shape you want. Put them in a baking dish and spread a little milk on them. Put them in the oven already hot (180 degrees) for about 30 minutes.
