  1. In medium saucepot heat oil till warm. Add in onion and garlic; saute/fry till tender, about 5 min. Add in beef; cook and stir till browned and crumbled; drain excess fat. Add in tomatoes, chili pwdr and salt. Simmer, covered, for 40 min. Add in vegetables. Simmer, covered, till vegetables are tender, about 15 min. Add in Progresso red kidney beans (undrained). Simmer, covered, till beans are warm, about 2 min. Yield: 4 portions.
