A Quick;
Chilli Con Carne.
½ Kilo of ground beef. (Or pork if desired.)
1 Can of Red Kidney beans
1 Can Hunts’ Diced tomato 794 Gram
1 Cup Milled chilli (Laboyo if possible.)
½ Tsp Cumin
¼ Tsp Oregano
1 Large Onion diced
Salt to taste
3 Cloves of garlic
2 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
Method
Strain Tomato juice into a blender,
Add Chilli, cumin, oregano and 3 cloves of garlic blend into a puree.
Nb. You may add a little water to aid the blending if the chilli does not puree.
Brown the Ground beef and onion in a large frying –pan. Pour the puree over, bring to boil and then simmer for 45 min, serve on a nest of rice.
