Wild Rice Sausage Casserole

The seasoned wild rice and sage sausage give this casserole a great savory flavor that is just right on a cool evening. Serve with some crusty bread and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 7 ounce packages seasoned wild rice mix
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage, sage variety
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 10.5 ounce can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 2 cups sharp shredded Cheddar

Directions

  1. Cook wild rice according to package directions.
  2. Brown sausage, drain.
  3. Chop onion and pepper.
  4. Mix rice, sausage, onion, pepper, soup and 1 cup of cheese in a large bowl.
  5. Put in a greased casserole dish and top with the remaining cup of cheese.
  6. Cook 1 hour at 350 degrees.
