Ingredients
- 1/4 c. minced celery
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1-3 teaspoon curry pwdr (according to your taste)
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 1/2 c. turkey or possibly chicken stock
- 1 c. cream
- 2 tbsp. sherry
- 3 c. cooked chicken or possibly turkey
- 8 c. warm cooked rice
Directions
- Saute/fry celery and onion in butter till onion is soft. Combine salt, curry pwdr, and flour; add in to onion and celery. Mix thoroughly and cook till bubbly. Add in lowfat milk, turkey stock and cream, stirring briskly till smooth and thick; cook about 2-3 more min after mix has thickened. Add in sherry and meat. Stir gently to combine. Serve over cooked rice. Serves 8.
