Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg yolk, vanilla, flour, and salt.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Spread into a greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
  5. Bake at 350 F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In a heavy saucepan or microwave, melt the chocolate.
  7. Stir until smooth.
  8. Spread over the hot bars.
  9. Immediately sprinkle with nuts.
  10. Cool on a wire rack
  11. Cut into 1 1/4 inch squares
